10by15 House (Nhà phố 10×15) — Revit / CAD downloads — READ ME FIRST ==================================================================== Project code 10B15 Data version 0.2 (2026-10-18) Files generated 2026-10-18 from https://10by15.com Status Concept design — for family review and Revit modelling. Not for construction. These files are generated automatically from the single house data file behind the website. The website (10by15.com/revit is the step-by-step modelling guide) and the CSV schedules are the reference: if anything here disagrees with the website, the website wins — download the files again. Units, origin, axes, levels, grids, true north ------------------------------------------------- Units: MILLIMETRES (mm) for every length and coordinate; areas in m². When linking a DXF choose Import units = millimeter. Origin: plan point (0,0) is the FRONT-LEFT corner of the lot, standing on the street looking at the house. +x runs along the street frontage (0 → 10000), +y runs from the street into the lot (0 → 15000). Plans are drawn with the street at the bottom. Use (0,0) as the Revit internal origin (keep the Project Base Point and Survey Point at the internal origin in a new project) and link every DXF "Auto - Origin to Origin". Elevations: relative to ±0.000 = ground-floor finished floor level (GF FFL). The sidewalk is at −0.300, the yards at −0.150; SE-drive (driveway) slopes from −0.300 to −0.150 (13.0 %, inside the lot). Neighbour heights are above the sidewalk. Levels (Revit level name = what the script creates): GF ±0.000 Ground floor / Tầng trệt (miền Bắc: Tầng 1) floor-to-floor 4100 Revit name: "GF ±0.000 Tầng trệt" L1 +4.100 First floor / Lầu 1 (miền Bắc: Tầng 2) floor-to-floor 3400 Revit name: "L1 +4.100 Lầu 1" RF +7.500 Roof terrace / Sân thượng & tum floor-to-floor 3200 Revit name: "RF +7.500 Sân thượng & tum" TR +10.700 Penthouse roof / Mái tum Revit name: "TR +10.700 Mái tum" Reference levels (no plan views, Building Story off): −0.300 "REF Sidewalk −0.300 Vỉa hè" Datum for the legal building height and the neighbour heights −0.150 "REF Yard / Top of ground beams −0.150 Sân / Đỉnh dầm móng" Paving: Front yard (SE-yard-front), Rear yard (SE-yard-rear) and the top of the driveway ramp (SE-drive); Ground beams (giằng móng); base of the ground-floor walls and columns standing on them (GB-1/A-B −0.200 lower, under a lowered sub-slab) +8.600 "REF Top of parapet RF +8.600 Đỉnh tường chắn mái" Parapets on the roof terrace (5 walls) +11.000 "REF Top of parapet TR +11.000 Đỉnh tường chắn mái" Parapets on the penthouse roof (4 walls) Grids (column centrelines; drawn 1000 mm beyond the lot at both ends): A x = 110 (runs into the lot, perpendicular to the street) B x = 3755 (runs into the lot, perpendicular to the street) C x = 6355 (runs into the lot, perpendicular to the street) D x = 9890 (runs into the lot, perpendicular to the street) 1 y = 1260 (parallel to the street) 1a y = 4400 (parallel to the street) 2 y = 6780 (parallel to the street) 3 y = 9100 (parallel to the street) 4 y = 12890 (parallel to the street) True north: 45° CLOCKWISE (towards East) from plan "up" (+y, into the lot). The front façade faces South-East / Đông Nam (bearing 135°). In Revit: Manage › Position › Rotate True North, "Angle from Project to True North" = 45°, East. Keep plan views on Project North. Location: Ho Chi Minh City (placeholder until the lot is confirmed) — NOT confirmed yet. Walls are defined by their CENTRELINE (Location Line = Wall Centerline). A door/window "offset" in the schedules is measured along the wall centreline from the wall start point to the first jamb. 3. Revit set-up, step by step ----------------------------- 1) Start a NEW project from your metric template (Revit 2022 or newer). Manage › Project Units › Length = millimetres. Add a project parameter "Tên phòng" (Text, Rooms) for the Vietnamese room names. 2) Load the door and window families listed in section 7 (or rename your own types to these "Family : Type" names). The script places a plain wall opening where a family is missing and lists it. 3) Run build_10by15_revit.py — pyRevit: copy it into a folder and use pyRevit › Run Script (or make it a pushbutton); RevitPythonShell: open it and press Run. Keep the DXF files in the same folder so the script can link them. The first run is a DRY RUN: everything is built, reported and then rolled back. Read the report, fix what it lists, set DRY_RUN = False at the top of the script and run again. 4) Check one swing door in plan after the first real run. If every leaf opens to the wrong side set DOOR_OPENS_TO_FACING = True; if every hinge is on the wrong jamb set DOOR_HINGE_ON_HAND_SIDE = True; then run again on an empty project. 5) If you link the DXFs yourself: open the floor plan of the matching level, Insert › Link CAD, choose the file, tick "Current view only", Colors: Preserve (or Black and white), Layers/Levels: All, Import units: millimeter, Positioning: "Auto - Origin to Origin", Place at: that level, tick "Correct lines that are slightly off axis". Link 10by15-site.dxf into the site plan. 6) Rotate true north as in section 2 (45° East). 7) Build by hand what the script does not create (sections 5 and 6): stairs, railings and guard upstands, canopies, shaft boxing, the toposolid and paving surfaces, gates, steps, buried pipes and services. Load a concrete beam and column family first so the script also places the parapet copings and stub columns. 8) Check the model against the CSV schedules (section 8): counts, marks, sizes, sills, room areas. Revit room areas should equal rooms.csv because the room separation lines follow the same room boundaries. 4. Walls, floors, shafts — what the data means in Revit ------------------------------------------------------- Walls start on the structure (Base Offset from the level): the top of the beam under the wall, else the RC top of the slab. GF −150 on the ground beams (12 walls); −50 on the RC top of S-GF (GF-P-WC); −200 on ground beam GB-1/A-B (GF-FRONT-AB) — GB-1/A-B is at −200 = the RC top of S-GF-GARAGE. L1 −50 on the beams (16 walls). RF −130 on the beams (10 walls). TR −170 on the beams (4 walls). "Up to level" walls stop under the slab above (negative top offset). Walls with an explicit height (parapets) are "Unconnected", from their base to the underside of their coping (below; the script does this). Parapets (PAR-220): the data height is the FINISHED guard top, coping included (the "Top of parapet" datums). Model the wall as the BRICK ONLY, from its base on the beams to the underside of the coping; put the RC coping (220 × 100) on top as structural framing along the wall centreline, z-justification Top at the datum; the stub columns (220 × 220) run from the wall base to the underside of the coping. Brick + coping = the parapet height. The script builds all three (copings and stub columns when a concrete beam / column family is loaded). RF RF-P-FRONT, RF-P-LEFT-F, RF-P-LEFT-R, RF-P-RIGHT, RF-P-REAR: brick −130 → +1000 (unconnected height 1130), coping 100 → +1100 = +8.600; 15 stub columns 1130 high. TR TR-P-FRONT, TR-P-RIGHT, TR-P-REAR, TR-P-LEFT: brick −170 → +200 (unconnected height 370), coping 100 → +300 = +11.000; 10 stub columns 370 high. Set their Sill Height; the wall stays solid below the door (from the RC top to the sill) and the membrane turns up behind it. Columns: one element per storey; Mark = storey-qualified (e.g. C-GF-A/1) so marks never repeat; types "C1 220 x 220". Each column starts on the structure under it — the top of the beams that meet at its foot (the lowest where they differ): GF base −150 on the ground beams (16 columns); −200 on ground beam GB-1/A-B (C-GF-A/1, C-GF-B/1) — GB-1/A-B is at −200 = the RC top of S-GF-GARAGE. L1 base −50 on the beams (15 columns); −100 on beams B-L1-1/B-C, B-L1-1/C-D (C-L1-B/1, C-L1-C/1, C-L1-D/1) — B-L1-1/B-C and B-L1-1/C-D are at −100 = the RC top of S-L1-LOGGIA. RF base −130 on the beams (9 columns). Column tops in the data stop at the underside of the slab above (e.g. C-GF-A/1 top L1 −170). For a connected analytical model set COLUMNS_TO_BEAM_TOP = True in the script (or raise the tops by hand): a column is then carried up to the base of the column above (e.g. C-GF-A/1 to L1 −50 = the base of C-L1-A/1), or to the top of the highest beam framing in where nothing continues (e.g. C-L1-A/1 to RF −130) — so the storeys meet with no gap and no overlap. The schedules list the soffit tops. Beams: types named b x h (e.g. "220 x 400"), z-justification Top. The top of each beam is the RC top of the slabs it carries — the lowest where a lowered sub-slab runs over part of it; the ground beams (giằng móng) sit at their datum unless a lowered sub-slab runs over them: GF −150 (the ground-beam datum; 25 beams); −200 = the RC top of S-GF-GARAGE that runs over it: GB-1/A-B (under door D-01, the garage rolling shutter). L1 −50 (the RC top of S-L1; 27 beams); −100 = the RC top of S-L1-LOGGIA that runs over them: B-L1-1/B-C (under the guard upstand R-L1-LOGGIA-1), B-L1-1/C-D (under the guard upstand R-L1-LOGGIA-2), B-L1-C/1-2a. RF −130 (the RC top of S-RF; 27 beams). TR −170 (the RC top of S-TR; 11 beams). Each beam runs between two supports: draw every beam of beams.csv as its own member, even where the next one continues in line. Grid segments between two columns with no beam: - L1: no beam on grid B 2–3 — it would cut into the stair opening of ST-01 (x 220–4300, y 6890–8990); the opening is framed by B-L1-2/A-B, B-L1-2/B-C, B-L1-3/A-B, B-L1-3/B-C, B-L1-A/2-3, BS-L1-02. - L1: no beam on grid 1a A–B — no opening there: nothing ties columns A/1a and B/1a at this floor; the structural engineer to confirm whether a tie beam is needed (model none until then). - RF: no beam on grid B 2–3 — it would cut into the stair opening of ST-02 (x 220–4300, y 6890–8990); the opening is framed by B-RF-2/A-B, B-RF-2/B-C, B-RF-3/A-B, B-RF-3/B-C, B-RF-A/2-3, BS-RF-02. - TR: no beam on grid B 2–3 — it would cut into the skylight opening SK-01 (x 1320–3720, y 7040–8840); no beam frames that opening in the data (structural engineer to design the trimming). R-L1-LOGGIA-1: RC upstand under the glass guard = a wall 220 mm wide on L1, base −100 (RC top of S-L1-LOGGIA = top of beam B-L1-1/B-C), unconnected height 250 (top +150, 200 above the finished floor); the railing starts on it. R-L1-LOGGIA-2: RC upstand under the glass guard = a wall 220 mm wide on L1, base −100 (RC top of S-L1-LOGGIA = top of beam B-L1-1/C-D), unconnected height 250 (top +150, 200 above the finished floor); the railing starts on it. Stairs (Architecture › Stair › Component, U-shaped with a half landing): ST-01 (GF ±0.000 → L1 +4.100): 12 + 12 = 24 risers × 170.8 mm, going 280 mm (2R + G = 622 mm), flight width 1000 mm, well 100 mm, half landing 1000 mm deep at +2.050. Core x 220–4300, y 6890–8990; first riser at x = 4300, first flight on the rear (larger y) side. Handrail 900 mm. Granite treads 30 mm with anti-slip grooves; RC waist slab 120. ST-02 (L1 +4.100 → RF +7.500): 10 + 10 = 20 risers × 170.0 mm, going 280 mm (2R + G = 620 mm), flight width 1000 mm, well 100 mm, half landing 1560 mm deep at +5.800. Core x 220–4300, y 6890–8990; first riser at x = 4300, first flight on the rear (larger y) side. Handrail 900 mm. Granite treads 30 mm with anti-slip grooves; RC waist slab 120. 6. Site, paving, gates and services ----------------------------------- Paving: one Floor of a paving type per surface (never one surface for the whole front yard); a sloped surface gets a slope arrow from its street edge (y0) to its rear edge (y1). Level changes at the edges are a kerb or a step. SE-drive Driveway: (110, 0) – (3645, 1150), top −0.300 at y 0 → −0.150 at y 1150 (13.0 %), bottom −0.450; kerb along x = 3645 to SE-yard-front −150 → 0. SE-yard-front Front yard: (3645, 0) – (9890, 1150), level at −0.150, bottom −0.300; kerb along x = 3645 to SE-drive +150 → 0; step 150 up from the sidewalk at y = 0. SE-yard-rear Rear yard: (110, 13000) – (9890, 14890), level at −0.150, bottom −0.300. SE-step Entrance step (3955, 750) – (6155, 1150): top ±0.000, bottom −0.150, on SE-yard-front: one riser of 150 mm. Gates open into the lot, never over the sidewalk. Posts and frame from their bottom to the top; the leaves from their own, higher bottom, so they clear the paving they swing over: SE-gate-car Car gate: x 110–3620 (3510), 6 folding leaves of 585 (3 + 3); posts −0.300 → +1.500, leaves −0.190 → +1.500, 23 mm over SE-drive (up to −0.213); 14 mm up from the sidewalk. Hardware: Lever latch that opens from inside without a key (no padlock on the escape route); flexible brush seal along the leaf bottoms; manual release if it is ever motorised. SE-gate-ped Pedestrian gate: x 4555–5555 (1000), 2 double-swing leaves of 500 (1 + 1); posts −0.300 → +1.500, leaves −0.130 → +1.500, 20 mm over SE-yard-front (up to −0.150); 150 mm up from the sidewalk. Hardware: Lever latch that opens from inside without a key (no padlock on the escape route); flexible brush seal along the leaf bottoms. Gratings and covers in the paving (at the paving level): SV-trench Trench drain across the driveway: top −0.264 in SE-drive (paving −0.274 → −0.254, 10 above at one edge). Schedules (CSV) — use them to check the model ------------------------------------------------ The CSV files are UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, so Excel shows the Vietnamese text. Make the same schedules in Revit (View › Schedules) and compare counts, marks, sizes and areas. Besides the website columns they carry what this guide asks you to set: walls.csv what each wall stands on and its Revit height (wall heights in "Height" run from the bottom of the wall, on the structure, to the underside of the slab above or to the parapet guard top — a parapet's Revit wall stops under its coping); columns.csv the Mark (e.g. C-GF-A/1), the Revit type, the base and top offsets and what each column stands on; beams.csv the top offset and the slab that sets it; doors.csv the swing (multi-leaf doors are hung from both jambs); shafts.csv the Shaft Opening base and top, the open sides to box in and the pipes; services.csv sloped covers, access covers and buried routes. schedules/levels.csv 4 rows (one per level) schedules/grids.csv 9 rows (one per grid line) schedules/rooms.csv 27 rows (one per room) schedules/doors.csv 21 rows (one per door / opening) schedules/windows.csv 9 rows (one per window) schedules/walls.csv 44 rows (one per wall) schedules/wall-types.csv 4 rows (one per wall type) schedules/slab-types.csv 7 rows (one per slab type) schedules/opening-types.csv 20 rows (one per opening type) schedules/columns.csv 45 rows (one per column per storey) schedules/beams.csv 94 rows (one per beam) schedules/shafts.csv 3 rows (one per shaft) schedules/services.csv 28 rows (one per tank, pit, drain, downpipe, pump, meter or board) 9. Known limitations --------------------- - The Revit script has not been run in Revit by the website authors. It is careful, uses only long-standing API calls, and runs inside one transaction with a dry-run mode — but review every element. - Door orientation follows the DOOR_* settings (section 3): check the swings in plan against the website plans after the first run. - Parapet tops (coping tops): roof terrace +8.600, penthouse roof +11.000. The script builds the brick parapet walls, and the copings and stub columns when a concrete beam / column family is loaded; waterproofing upturns, ceilings, MEP, foundations, railings, canopies, paving, gates and the other site elements are not modelled by the script. - Room separation lines follow the room boundaries of the data, so where two rooms meet across a grid line without a wall there are two lines one wall-thickness apart, and the open sides of the shafts get a line too. Replace them with one line on the grid if you prefer (areas then change slightly). - Site data (location, orientation, street, neighbours, red line) are assumptions until the lot is confirmed; the Ground floor level ±0.000 must be fixed relative to the sidewalk on site.
